SUE LLEWELLYN was born in England where she designed books and magazines,
including Psychology Today, Woman Magazine and Time Out. In 1978 she moved to
New York and continued her career in Publication Design, designing such magazines as
New York, Savvy, YM, McCalls, In Style, Vogue, Teen Vogue, TV Guide, and art directing
the Men's Journal Specials, Men's Health Style Guide , Sound & Image, Stereo Review, Seventeen & Seventeen Specials, and as Creative Director relaunched Primedia’s Youth Entertainment Group, Luxury Spafinder Magazine and ForbesLife Magazine.

In 1994, Sue was elected to be the Vice President of the Society of Publication
Designers (SPD). As V.P. she launched and hosted many ground breaking speaker and
media events for the Society. She coordinated over 50 workshops and lectures for the Society's first design conference, MAG2000, in Monterey, CA, attended by Art and
Creative Directors, Photographers, Illustrators and Editors from all over the world.

Sue is the recipient of design awards from the Art Director's Club of NYC, Print Regional Design, SPD, the American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA) and in 1986, she was
named the winner of the CBS Grand Master Award for Excellence. She has served as
both judge and coordinator for several design competitions for SPD, the Art Directors'
Club and Western Magazine Awards in Vancouver. In addition, she has guest lectured at
Parsons, New School for Design, NYC: Capilano College, Vancouver and Emily Carr
University of Art+Design, Vancouver.

Sue Llewellyn has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Manchester School
of Art and Design, England. She has lived and worked in London, Vancouver and New
York, but the North Fork of Long Island is where she calls home.
